Ground Control SurveysAll aerial mapping projects planned by Tuck Mapping Solutions have ground control layouts. This layout considers the scale and contour interval of the project, the use for the mapping, the terrain to be controlled, access to the location of the control points, the availability of photo identification points, and the control that is already available in the project area. Ground control establishes a project "in control" at the beginning of a project and maintains that control throughout.
Base Control NetworksGPS and conventional surveying is used to establish a Base Control Network for establishing ground control and permanent monumentation.
